That number is expected to rise to well over 500 by year’s end. Kathryn Cloward was inspired to write “Enough is Enough” to shine a light of awareness on the need for sensible gun laws that are relevant to what is happening in society right now. “Enough is Enough” circles us back to the core of our humanity to focus on those at the heart of these senseless tragedies. Gun violence, especially at schools, is one of the most prevalent social issues impacting Americans right now. School shootings are not an issue of politics, race, gender, socioeconomics, or faith—they are an issue of humanity. “Enough is Enough” is an impactful song of great importance that activates us all to examine what matters most. Children and educators keep being killed at school. Mass shootings are still on the rise. Enough is enough.

They were mothers and aunts uncles and dad
Too many have died aren’t you raging mad
What are we gonna do about these horrific tragedies
blame it on mental health but this doesn’t happen in other countries
Gun laws need reform this isn’t 1776
An assault rifle is not a musket
They were daughters and sisters brothers and sons
They had dreams to fulfill that didn’t include being killed by guns
They were mothers and aunts uncles and dad
Too many have died aren’t you raging mad
Enough is enough too many are gone
Enough is enough the status quo’s all wrong
Everyone is shuffling blame
But nothing nothing nothing has changed
Enough is enough too many have died
