About Kathryn

Kathryn Cloward is a prolific and award-winning songwriter-artist and best-selling author. Her unmasked and authentic songwriting reveals the introspective and passionate woman she is and the journey of transformation she’s been on. A relatable storyteller of simplification, she articulates feelings and experiences into transparent and relatable lyrical stories. Her catalog includes five Kathryn Cloward albums, five children’s albums through her award-winning Kathryn the Grape^® series, and many writing and producing credits for other artists. She’s also the author of 28 published books. 

A dynamic and inclusive performer, Kathryn has shared her songs on some legendary stages including headlining multiple times at Belly Up (Solana Beach, CA) and opening for 80s popstar Tiffany at Whiskey a Go Go (Hollywood, CA). She has also been a featured artist performing at the Troubadour (Hollywood, CA), Nashville Unplugged (Las Vegas, CA), Ramona Mainstage (Ramona, CA), Hard Rock Cafe (Hollywood, CA), and her hometown’s San Diego County Fair.

Kathryn has consistently poured her energy into amplifying issues that help others thrive. She’s written impact songs on behalf of local and national organizations that support children braving cancer, rare disease awareness, and teen refugees. She also dedicated a few years to helping raise funds for building freshwater wells and schools in remote Zambian villages. Kathryn is a voting member of The Recording Academy and has been a GRAMMY Awards^® balloted artist multiple times.
