Early morning cold straight to my bones
I’ve got to get up I’ve got to get on the road
I’m moving ahead with all I have
Just another notch in the totem that I am

And every day is just another day
Angels guide the way with pennies on my path

So afraid to look to see myself
And all the years I’ve stacked upon the shelf
In the valley was rest transformed by time
Now I’m soaring above all the troubles I left behind

But I never can forget the tears I cried
And what my scars provide they’re a lesson to my soul

The old rolls away as I crest the hill
Breathing deep just drinking in my fill
Rising on the wind the world falls below
Like an eagle I can see it all and know
That where I am is where I dreamed I’d be
My crimson heart and me on a journey that unfolds
